For the translation of The Nightmare of Participation published by the philosophy and art imprint Merve Verlag, Berlin, we created a subtle intervention into the publisher’s iconic design system created by Jochen Stankowski. The cover involved inverting the figure ground of the publisher’s original series design and allowing type to span both covers.
