Zak Kyes
Creative Director & Founder
Zak Kyes is a Swiss-American creative director and founder of Zak Group. Over two decades, his practice has brought contextual intelligence to brand strategy, identity, and spatial environments.
At Zak Group, he leads projects for clients including Audemars Piguet, CHANEL, MoMA, Nike and Prada, and has collaborated with Anne Imhof, Frank Ocean and Virgil Abloh.
He was Art Director of the world-renowned AA School of Architecture from 2006 to 2016, where he developed identity as an evolving system, responsive to programme and culture.
His work is internationally recognised: he was inducted into the Alliance Graphique Internationale in 2019, has taught at ECAL and the AA, and has lectured at Harvard and the Walker Art Center. He edited Forms of Inquiry (AA Publications) and was the subject of the monograph Zak Kyes Working With (Sternberg Press). He also hosts Zak Group Art School on NTS Radio.
