No Soul for Sale

In 2010 we were invited by Tate Modern to create the design for the festival No Soul for Sale: A Festival of Independents to celebrate Tate Modern’s 10th Anniversary (14–16 May, 2010). The curators, Cecilia Alemani, Maurizio Cattelan and Massimiliano Gioni, invited 70 of the most exciting nonprofit centres, alternative institutions and artist collectives from around the world to each occupy their own 4x4m space in the Tate’s iconic Turbine Hall. Within these plots, demarcated by thick red lines, participants showed work, staged performances and made projects. A line of the same width and colour was then used to mark all event materials, including a booklet, posters, event schedules and signage.
