Matias Faldbakken: Effects of Good Government in a Pit

Year

2017

Location

As part of our ongoing collaboration with Astrup Fearnley Museet, we worked together with Norwegian artist Matias Faldbakken on the identity and publication for his exhibition Effects of Good Government in the Pit.

The exhibition’s identity combines a photocopied painting by Norwegian romanticist artist Hans Fredrik Gude with utilitarian black-and-white typography.

The self-cover, bilingual publication is divided into three paper types. Video works are printed on a blue stock while artworks are presented on a rough white without any accompanying text. The final section consists of several essays that are typeset on a bright red paper.
